no-more-good-ole-boys:

Some aspects of “boys will be boys” are okay and some are not. It is okay for boys to get covered in mud. It is okay for boys to play sports. It is okay for boys to be strong. When it becomes not okay is when boys get destructive. One Percent Feminists are not trying to make boys into girls. We’re just trying to convince you that you can be softer and gentler and still be a boy. You don’t have to give your buddy slug bugs. You can give your buddy kisses instead and you’re still masculine. You don’t have to dominate your girlfriend. You can let her be strong too and you’re still masculine. You don’t have to be a macho pig to be a man.
